Organization domains and who can join

Your organization has one or more email domains, like acme.com. Anyone who joins a partner program with an email address on one of your domains is recognised as part of your organization.

That’s what keeps a team together. When a colleague signs up, they land in your organization instead of becoming a separate company with its own payout setup. To manage the rest of your organization, see Your organization.

When we ask about a new domain

Companies often use more than one domain: a second brand, an agency’s client-facing address, a domain picked up in an acquisition. So when someone joins with an address on a domain we haven’t seen for your organization, we ask you one question rather than guessing.

Whoever on your team can manage the organization gets an email asking whether that domain is yours, and the same question appears on the Organization page.

If you confirm it, anyone with an address on that domain who joins a partner program is treated as part of your organization from then on. Those with the right permission can:

  • manage the payout methods your organization gets paid through
  • use your organization’s tax details to get paid
  • edit the organization profile and directory listing

If you do nothing, nothing happens. The person who raised the question stays on your team either way, and nothing about your payouts changes. The question closes on its own after a few weeks, and we send one reminder before it does.

If it isn’t your domain, decline it. Contacts already on your team stay where they are. A decline is final: if you decline by mistake, ask your partner manager to have Lasso support reopen it.

Only confirm domains you recognise

Confirming a domain means future people with that email address can reach your organization’s payout and tax settings. If you’re not sure a domain is yours, it’s safe to leave the question alone.

Who can answer the question

Only someone already inside your organization can confirm a domain, and their own email has to be on a domain you already own. The person who raised the question can’t approve it themselves, because their domain is the one being asked about.

Removing a domain

Removing a domain stops future contacts on it from joining your organization. People already on your team stay exactly where they are. Your primary domain is your organization’s identity and can’t be removed.

Bring colleagues into the portal and set what each of them can do.
