Set up commissions

Lasso lets you decide exactly how your partners earn. You build reward plans (named sets of rules that determine what a partner is paid and when) and assign them to your partners. A plan can reward a partner when a deal closes, when a referral is qualified earlier in the pipeline, or with a one-off bonus, and you can run several plans side by side for different kinds of partners.

Because reward plans are the foundation of how money moves, Lasso keeps them flexible without making them fragile. You can offer flat payouts or a share of deal value, pay once or spread earnings across periods for recurring revenue, and direct a reward to the partner company or to a specific person on their team. Each partner is on one plan at a time, so what they earn is always clear.

What you can configure

Reward plans give you a few high-level areas to work with:

• How partners earn: fixed amounts, a percentage of deal value, early rewards on qualified referrals, or standalone bonuses.
• When earnings land: as a single payout or spread across periods.
• Who gets paid: the partner organization or a named individual.
• What partners see: each plan carries a partner-facing name, and you choose which rewards are visible in the partner portal.

Earnings stay stable once they’re promised: a referral keeps the terms it had when it was accepted, and a closed-won deal locks in its amount. That predictability is deliberate: partners can trust what they’ve been offered, and you can evolve your program without disturbing deals already in flight.

Where reward plans fit

Reward plans connect to the rest of your program. They can be assigned automatically based on a partner’s type, changed for an individual partner, or driven by a partner’s tier as they progress.
