Connect Salesforce

The Salesforce integration keeps your partnership data and your CRM in sync automatically. Partners and referrals you manage in Lasso appear in Salesforce as the right accounts, contacts, and opportunities. When an opportunity moves forward in Salesforce, the matching referral in Lasso updates to match. Your partnership team works in Lasso, your sales team works in Salesforce, and both sides stay current.

How it works

The integration is bidirectional. Data flows in both directions: changes you make in Lasso are reflected in Salesforce, and changes in Salesforce are reflected in Lasso. Partners and their contacts stay current as accounts and contacts, referrals become opportunities (or leads) with the referring partner and contact attached, and opportunity progress stays aligned between the two systems. Lasso matches to your existing Salesforce records wherever it can, so connecting keeps your org clean rather than creating duplicates.

When Salesforce is your source of truth, the sync also runs the other way: partners and partner-sourced opportunities that originate in Salesforce can flow into Lasso on their own, so your team keeps working where they already work without re-entering anything in Lasso.

Report on partner-sourced pipeline inside Salesforce

As it syncs, Lasso stamps two identifiers onto your Salesforce records: one that marks which partner is attached to a record, and one that marks which referral it came from. They sit on your leads, contacts, accounts, and opportunities.

Because they live on your own records, you can report, filter, and automate on partner-sourced pipeline entirely inside Salesforce, without logging into Lasso. Group an opportunity report by partner to see sourced and closed revenue, build a list view of everything a partner sourced, or trigger a Flow when an opportunity is partner-sourced. Your revenue data and your partner data sit together in your CRM.

Before you start

  • A Salesforce org. Production and sandbox orgs are both supported.
  • Salesforce admin access, to install the Lasso package and enable the connection.
  • Admin access in Lasso.

What you can configure

Once connected, you can tailor how the two systems work together:

  • Partner & contact sync: how partners and their contacts are represented in Salesforce.
  • Referral sync: what Lasso creates as a referral is opened and accepted.
  • Opportunity stage mapping: how your Salesforce stages line up with Lasso referral statuses, both ways.
  • Partner & contact role mapping: recording partner attribution as roles on the opportunity for your sales team’s reporting.
  • Custom partner objects: syncing partners to a custom object instead of the standard Account, with optional junction objects.
  • Inbound sync: pulling partner-sourced opportunities and partner records that originate in Salesforce into Lasso as referrals and partners.
  • Partner-link attribution from your CRM: recognizing opportunities that already carry a Lasso referral link and attributing them to the right partner automatically, with no CRM-side automation to build.
  • Field mapping: exactly what data Lasso writes to each Salesforce record. See CRM field mapping.
