Connect Stripe
If your customers are billed through Stripe, connecting it to Lasso closes the loop between a referral and what it’s actually worth. Once connected, Lasso links a closed-won referral to the customer it became in Stripe, recognizes their paid invoices as revenue, and calculates the partner’s commission from it automatically, with no manual matching of deals to invoices.
How it works
Stripe connects to Lasso as an app, so no API keys to manage. Once connected, you add it as a revenue source and tell Lasso what counts as revenue, such as the full invoice amount, the net amount after fees, or only invoices for specific products.
From there, Lasso links referrals to Stripe customers automatically: when a referral closes won, Lasso looks up the matching customer using an identifier you’ve configured, an email, domain, or similar, and links them. You can also link a Stripe customer to a referral by hand at any time.
Once linked, Lasso recognizes revenue as invoices are paid in Stripe and uses it to calculate and update the partner’s commission on that deal, keeping invoices current as revenue comes in.
Before you start
- A Stripe account with Stripe Connect enabled.
- Admin access in Lasso to install the integration and configure revenue sources.
What you can configure
- What counts as revenue: the whole invoice, the net amount, or only specific products.
- How Lasso finds the matching customer: which identifier to look up and where it comes from, such as a referral form field or a connected CRM.
- Priority and history: the order Lasso checks revenue sources in, and how far back to pull existing invoices. See Connect your revenue.
