Assign reward plans

Building a reward plan is only half the picture; the other half is making sure each partner is on the right one. Lasso gives you flexible ways to assign reward plans so partners land on the terms you intend, whether you’re onboarding one partner or reorganizing your whole program.

A partner is always on exactly one reward plan at a time, and that plan decides how they earn. Assignment can happen automatically, be set for an individual, or follow a partner’s tier as they progress.

Ways partners get a plan

  • By default, from their type. New partners can inherit a plan automatically based on the kind of partner they are, so you don’t assign one by one.
  • For an individual partner. Set or change any single partner’s plan directly.
  • In bulk. Move many partners onto new terms at once when you’re rolling out changes.
  • Through tiers. When a partner is part of a tier program, their plan follows their tier and updates as they move, and you can pin a specific partner to set terms when you need a custom arrangement.

Partners never see the assignment mechanics; they see the effects. In their portal, a partner sees the rewards you’ve made visible, under the plan’s partner-facing name, with earnings and payouts that reflect the plan they’re on.

Where this fits

Assignment ties together the rest of your rewards setup. See Set up commissions for what a reward plan contains, and Partner tiers for progression programs where tiers drive a partner’s plan automatically.
