Onboard a partner
Onboarding in Lasso takes a partner from “interested” to “active and earning.” There are two ways a partner can get into your program, and from there the path is the same: they activate their account, complete a short guided setup, and start sending you referrals.
Two ways partners get in
- A public application form. Each kind of partner can have its own application form with a public link. Anyone can open it, fill it in, and submit without logging in. It’s ideal when you want partners to come to you. Submissions arrive for you to review and approve.
- A direct invite. When you already know who you want to bring on, add the partner yourself and send an invitation directly, with no application needed. This is the fastest path for partners you’ve already agreed to work with.
Either way, the partner inherits the right defaults for their kind of partnership (their manager, their rewards, and anything they need to sign) so they land set up correctly rather than as a blank profile.
The journey from joining to first payment
However a partner gets in, the rest of the journey is consistent and guided:
- Join: by application or direct invite.
- Activate: the partner sets up their account from an activation email.
- Sign: any agreements you require.
- Set up: a short guided flow for their company profile, tax details, a payout method, and inviting teammates.
- Refer and earn: the partner submits referrals, and earnings accrue as deals progress.
- Get paid: you run a payout and the partner receives their payment.
The first steps happen once; referring, earning, and getting paid repeat for the life of the partnership.
Where onboarding fits
Onboarding builds on the rest of your program: a partner’s rewards come from how you’ve set up commissions and tiers, and once they’re earning you’ll run a payout to pay them.
